Enhancing Detoxification - Liver and Kidney Support Gallbladder Flush Kit
AREA 1: THE COLON
Since childhood, most of us have experienced constipation. It is a common factor we have faced as a result of the processed foods eaten while growing up. For those who have always prided themselves in being "regular" with one bowel movement a day, the truth is that this is just another example of constipation. To have three meals each day and only one bowel movement indicates sluggishness in the intestinal tract.
Retaining waste material in the body longer than necessary causes many unpleasant problems, similar to those caused by backing up a sewage system.
As we develop into adulthood, in addition to the toxification of the body, a sluggish colon becomes somewhat distorted, further inhibiting its normal function. Therefore, to open the Flow of Detoxification, the first step is to increase the intestinal flow, as well as beginning the process of rebuilding the colon (for additional information, see "Rebuilding Your Colon" beginning on page 21). This all begins by using enough Baltone and Nutri-Dophilus on a daily basis, plus enough Fiber Regulators (or Aloe Vera…the term Fiber Regulators is used throughout this workbook to indicate either of these Body Chemistry Support System products) to produce three bowel movements a day. Even if you are now only having one meal a day, it will be necessary to have three bowel movements a day in order to rebuild the colon. The reason for this is because the only exercise for rebuilding a colon is to move quantities of fiber through it, at least three times a day. You will find the use of enemas and colonics to be a great help in speeding the cleansing and rebuilding process.
AREA 2: THE LOWER BACKWhenever a problem exists within the body, there is always a corresponding two-way communication between the affected internal organ and the area of the spinal column from which the nerve flow branches. Because the colon is almost always sluggish, this two-way communication causes a related weakness, tension, and congestion in the tissue of the lower back. This result is restricted nerve flow from the spinal cord to the colon. The restricted nerve from, in turn, causes a stricture in the colon, usually around the transverse section of the colon. This narrowing of the colon further reduces the natural flow through this organ. Proper colon function will never resume until this nerve flow is restored by decongesting the tissue of the lower back, then retoning those muscles, at the same time as moving fiber through the colon three times a day. Deep tissue massage and chiropractic help may be necessary to accomplish this, but your own stretching and toning exercises will definitely be necessary at least twice a day (see "Principle 4-Exercise" beginning on page 99).
AREA 3: THE GALLBLADDERLet us now move on to the third area that could restrict the Flow of Detoxification, the gallbladder. The gallbladder can be referred to as the trash can for the liver. This reference can help us to form a clear image of why an overloaded gallbladder can cause so many problems. As sewage receptacle for the liver, the gallbladder holds and excretes bile, which is a waste by-product the body has brilliantly converted into an emulsifying agent, to assist in the digestion of fats. Besides eliminating metals, chemicals and the many other waste products filtered from the blood by the liver, the largest supply of this waste material in the gallbladder is cholesterol. Cholesterol attaches to cracks or leisions on the arterial wall as a type of patching material. These leisions were formed by the loss of tissue integrity due to a deficiency of food source vitamin C. In time, when an excess of cholesterol builds up on the arterial wall, it forms a plaque material that begins to peal and flake. These small flakes of arterial plaque then join the circulating blood, until the liver filters it. Over the years, the gallbladder has to transfer large amounts of this arterial plaque into the intestinal tract for elimination. As this transfer occurs, the remaining sticky, waxy substance forms little balls that are stored in the gallbladder. As the gallbladder fills with these cholesterol balls, the flow of elimination from the liver is reduced, and congestion then takes place in the liver. The flow of elimination from the liver is restricted until these cholesterol balls are removed. This is not a surgical procedure. This is a process called the Gallbladder Flush (refer to page 37). After learning about this flush, it would be in a person's best interest to closely follow this procedure.
AREA 4: THE LIVERThe liver is the chemistry lab for the entire body. When we allow the liver to load up with poisonous materials, the important functions within this laboratory are severely impaired. When the gallbladder is cleared out, the next biggest concern for protecting the liver is to address intestinal flow. As the liver releases the waste filtered from the blood, it is generally carried through the intestinal tract and eliminated from the bower. If this process does not move quickly enough, a certain amount of this poisonous waste is reabsorbed through the colon wall and recycled throughout the body, causing a person to feel ill or fatigued. The liver then has to filter the same waste again from the blood. This recycling process is the body's way of preventing dehydration. Also, as long as the residue of our food remains in the colon, fluids will be drawn from this waste and delivered into our blood, Therefore we must not allow waste material to remain in the colon for any longer than is necessary, in order to reduce the volume of waste from being drawn back into the blood stream. Before moving on, consider the quantity of arterial plaque that is constantly being eliminated from your gallbladder into the intestinal tract. Do you now see that speeding the intestinal flow by producing three bowel movements a day will reduce your blood levels of cholesterol, because it will be eliminated from your body rather than being absorbed from the colon back into your system? There is an important monthly cleansing time for both men and women. Just as women have their own personal cleansing cycle every month, there is an ideal time, every month for everyone to cleanse. This time is during the full moon and the two days surrounding it (the day before, the day of and the day after the full moon). The full moon exerts a magnetic influence on the human body that triggers the release of toxic waste materials from the liver into the intestinal tract for elimination. Part of the waste material released from the liver each full moon is the toxic metal, copper. Because of the common use of copper in our plumbing, we have far more of this toxic metal in our bodies than any other humans in history. Besides this excess of copper, we are likely to have the most toxic livers in history as well. The higher levels of toxic copper are a major contributing factor involved in this liver toxification. Besides the other disruptive effects of excess copper, it also greatly reduces the speed of the intestinal flow. Consequently, when the full moon activates a release of waste material stored in the liver, the copper present in that material decreases the intestinal flow, causing a portion of this waste, as well as the copper, to be drawn back into the fluids of the body. When the copper is drawn back into the blood stream, it circulates to the brain and has the effect of speeding the activity of the brain. When the brain activity speeds up, it can often cause the individual to experience nights of insomnia, feelings of anxiety and agitation. It is the presence of toxic copper that leads people to act a little "loony," and contributed to the increase in emergency room activity, as well as arrests during the full moon. Therefore, for many reasons, it is wise to take advantage of the full moon's influence, as it relates to the release of toxic metal, by accelerating the intestinal flow and/or shifting into a Three Day Metamorphosis cleanse, listed on page 33 (detailed descriptions of this cleansing process and other practices alluded to in this section are included later in this chapter). The importance of caring for the liver can never by overemphasized. When the liver isn't capable of cleaning the blood, the entire body begins to break down and saturate with toxic waste. As the liver becomes congested and overwhelmed, the body wisdom takes two desperate steps to keep the blood from becoming excessively toxic. Its first step is to stagnate the lymphatic flow, which backs up and causes swollen lymph glands and sore throats in both men and women. The second step it takes to redirect the waste materials from the blood stream to the reproductive areas of both men and women. This desperate cleansing mode is an effort to save the life of the body, as well as to protect the function of the brain. In time, this toxic overload of the reproductive area becomes the reason for the development of fibroids, cysts and other female reproductive disorders. It is also the reason for the development of prostate disorders with men.
AREA 5: THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEMThe fifth area to keep open is the lymphatic system. When any of the five areas are closed down because of the clogging effect of waste materials blocking the Flow of Detoxification, the lymphatic system become excessively saturated with poisons. An analogy of this would be to load a roller bearing with dirt and sand. Besides preventing the bearing from turning, when you force it to roll, the grit will start destroying the bearing. When the lymphatic system is saturated, acid wastes, fatigue acids, and other waste materials become trapped among the tissue cells. Then, as you exercise, instead of feeling invigorated, you feel like the bearing that is breaking down. The real solution should now be logical as well as obvious. Open the five areas that are inhibiting the Flow of Detoxification, and completely remove this tissue destroying waste from the body. The most effective way to stimulate the movement of the lymphatic system is to spend ten minutes three times a day on the mini trampoline, or fifteen minutes, twice a day. This exercise not only stimulates the entire lymphatic system, but is the most complete exercise for every cell in the body.
While keeping the Flow of Detoxification moving internally, there is a very effective way of cleaning the blood and lymph right through the skin (the largest organ of elimination). This would be to do detox baths. As part of the Body Chemistry Support System, we provide a special product called Detox Spa. Detox Spa is a bath in which a combination of 20 ounces of powdered Ginger, Baking Soda, Sea Salt and Bentonite Clay is poured into a full tub of very warm water you soak in for approximately 30 minutes, scrubbing your entire body every ten minutes while drinking at least two glasses of water. The heat from the bath will cause you to perspire, which enhanced the release of toxins through the skin (see "Instructions for Taking a Detox Spa" on page 35).
You will find yourself feeling very refreshed after doing a Detox Spa. When your schedule is over-stressed, and you know you won't be getting enough sleep before another busy day, take the time to do a Detox Spa before going to sleep. You'll wake up much more refreshed than if you would have had that extra hour of sleep. Another important thought is that the more toxic waste you can eliminate through the skin, the less liver has to filter. Detox Spa should be used twice a week on a consistent basis. More than two per week can lead to an electrolyte imbalance, as the perspiration releases sodium and potassium from the body fluids.
