Hot and Cold Treatment
The deepest penetration of both hot and cold is brought about by the use
of an old fashioned hot water bottle and the type of ice pack you
will find at most drug stores.
Fill your hot water bottle with water as hot as your skin will tolerate without burning. Next, instead of putting ice into your ice bag, put ice and cold water into your blender and make slush. Then scoop the slush into your ice bag. The slush will cause the cold to penetrate much deeper into the tissue than just cubes of ice. For simplicity, you can just put ice cubes into the bag, but add cold water for better penetration.
Sitting in a comfortable position, place the ice pack on the affected area for approximately 8 minutes. At the same time, have the hot pack on any other area needing treatment for the same length of time. After the eight minutes, exchange the packs: put the hot pack in the area where you had the ice pack, and put the ice pack where you had the hot water bottle. Continue this rotation for approximately 30 minutes, and do it every evening until you’re satisfied that the healing is complete.
If you want to dissolve a bone spur or other calcium deposit, put 30 drops of Ultra-Phos in a glass of water, then proceed with the above treatment on the affected area for approximately 30 minutes, everyday until the build-up has been dissolved. To avoid having the discomfort of the cold pack sweating if you were to just put on a plate beside you while using the hot water bottle, treat another area of your body with hot and cold treatment at the same time as dissolving your bone spur. For some reason, if you keep the ice pack held against your body, it doesn’t sweat and produce cold water on the outside of the pack.
Castor Oil Pack Castor oil packs are commonly used to detoxify the tissue in a localized are. Castor oil has traditionally been used as a compress over the liver. The castor oil draws poisons from the tissues and stimulates circulation and healing. It can be use on any part of the body where healing is desired.
Castor oil packs have helped people recover from epilepsy, ovarian cysts, small breast tumors, hematomas, and even serious cases of cancer. Packs can also be used on the colon lymph, inflamed gallbladder or any area of the body in need of healing. Packs have been used to help re-grow hair and can be applied directly to the scalp.
Instructions for Castor Oil Packs
Begin by boiling or laundering a natural, unbleached 12-inch by 27-inch piece of wool flannel to remove any impurities from the fabric. This cloth can then be used up to 10 times before washing or discarding. Between uses, store the cloth in a plastic bag in the refrigerator.
Fold the cloth to make a pack the appropriate size.
Pour the castor oil onto the cloth. Use a sufficient amount, but enough to make the cloth drip.
Place the oil soaked cloth over the liver of desired area. (For the liver, place the pack on the right side, covering the area from beneath the breast to a couple inches below the ribs.)
Cover with a piece of plastic or heavy duty Saran Wrap. This is done to contain the oil and protect the heating pad, clothing and furniture.
Cover the area with a hot water bottle or heating pad. Leave it on for at least 1 hour (in time you may slowly increase the duration to 8 hours if you desire).
If the liver condition is severe, remove the hot water bottle after 30 minutes and replace with a cold pack. Leave the cold pack on for 5 minutes, then go back to the hot water bottle. Keep rotating.
Wash the skin where the pack was applied with warm water containing baking soda. This will neutralize the acid waste that has been drawn through the skin. This can also help to prevent an unnecessary rash.
